Funeral services for Bennie “Pop” Robinson, 73, of Oglethorpe, will be held on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at 11:00 am in the chapel of McLeighton Funeral Service.  Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery.  Mr. Robinson passed away on Sunday, April 10, 2016 at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center.  He was a member of The Lutheran Church of Oglethorpe.  He was retired from Flint Energies after 35 years of service and was an electrical lineman instructor for South GA Technical College in Americus for several years.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry J. Robinson and Lillian Flowers Robinson; brother, Jack Robinson; and sister, Margie Parks.

Survivors include his wife, Alvina Robinson of Oglethorpe; two daughters, Gwen (Tommy) Childree of Reynolds; Rhonda (Eric) Rozier of Reynolds; two brothers, Ted Robinson of Oglethorpe and Mike Robinson of Ellaville; four sisters, Cheryl Justice of Statesboro, Patti Player of Oglethorpe, Betty Long of Palatka, FL and Louise Giddens of Cochran; four grandchildren, Chase Hobbs, Lacey Walker, Garrett Rozier and Alicia Stuckey all of Reynolds; three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 pm at the funeral home.

McLeighton Funeral Service of Reynolds is in charge of arrangements.
