A memorial service for Herschel Gentry, 81, of Knoxville will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of McLeighton Funeral Service in Roberta. He passed away on December 1, 2016 at Medical Center of Central Georgia.

Mr. Gentry retired from Armstrong in Macon. He was dedicated to his family and an avid Georgia Bull Dog fan.

Survivors include his wife, Jackie Gentry of Knoxville; three daughters, Georgeanne Waters (Jeff) of Warner Robins, Julie Thames (Joel) of Dalton, Joy Woodfin (Scott) of Charlotte, NC; one brother, Wilbur Gentry (Artie) of Alabama; one step son, Jack Hodges (Betsy) of Americus; one step daughter, Fran Dye of Lizella; ten grandchildren, Josh Waters (Brittney), Jarrod Waters, Alex Thames (Katie), Dustin White, Scottie Woodfin, Nicole Dye, Jonathon Dye, Alana Dye, Michael Hodges, Ciera Hodges; three great grandchildren, Rylan Britt, Callie Haberly and Mason Thames.

Visitation will be on Saturday from 12 to 1 at the funeral home.
