Graveside services for Homer W. Cox, Jr., 97, of Butler will be held on Sunday, July 10, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Bethel Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Cox passed away on Thursday, July 7, 2016 at Taylor County Healthcare.

Mr. Cox was a member of Woodman of the World, lifelong resident of Taylor County and a farmer for over 50 years. He was also an avid bird hunter.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Florence Mott Cox; sons Danny Homer Cox and Wesley Hamp Cox

Survivors include one son, Jimmy Wayne Cox (Marilyn) of Cantonment, FL; four grandchildren, Shane R. Cox of Orlando, FL, Molena Cannon (Wesley) of Butler, Jenny L. Bickford (Shawn) of Butler and Brandon H. Cox of Thomaston; four great grandchildren, Mikayla M. Cannon, Dalton Cannon, Jaden T. Cox, Isabella G Bickford all of Butler.

Visitation will be held on Saturday from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
