Funeral services for Jean A. Lowrey, 88, of Musella, will be held on Monday at 11:00 am at Roberta United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Roberta City Cemetery. Mrs. Lowrey passed away on Friday, August 26, 2016 at the Medical Center Navicent Health in Macon.

She was a member of the Roberta United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, the Crusaders Sunday school class, served as church treasurer and was a member of the choir for many, many years. She was a member of the Crawford County Retired Educators, the Crawford County Garden Club and the Crawford County Homemakers Club. She retired from the US Postal Service in 1988 after 25 years of service. She devoted her life to caring for her parents, husband, siblings, children and grandchildren. She will be remembered for her loving, gentle nature. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Felton “Fessor” Lowrey.

Survivors include three sons, Dick Lowrey (Jean) of Dalton, GA, Andy Lowrey (Jan) of Columbia, SC and Wayne Lowrey (Lynn) of McDonough, GA; one daughter Linda Galloway (David) of Marietta; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren; three nieces.

Visitation will be held on Sunday evening from 5 to 7 pm at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Roberta United Methodist Church.
