Graveside services for Rodney Steve Short, 55, of Butler will be held on Monday, March 13, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Bethel Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Short passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at the Medical Center of Central Georgia.

He was a member of Bethel Congregational Methodist Church and employed by Robins Air Force Base for 33 years.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Short.

Survivors include his wife, Pamela Short of Butler; one son, Brandon Short of Macon; one daughter, Ariel Short of Butler; mother, Janice Short of Butler; one sister, Tammy Moore (David) of Butler; one niece, Danielle Truelove (Jody) of Butler; one nephew, Justin Moore of Butler; great niece, Aubrey Truelove; father-in-law, Perry Bateman and mother-in-law Sara Bateman.

The family will be receiving friends at the home of Janice Short, 5244 State Route 127 W., Ideal, GA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Bethel Congregational Methodist Church Youth (BYG), 1516 Thomaston Hwy., Butler, GA 31006.
