A memorial service for Russell Eugene Harrah, 73, of Potterville, will be held  2:00 pm Thursday, January 5, 2017 at Taylor Mill Baptist Church.  Mr. Harrah passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2017 at Upson Regional Medical Center.  He was preceded in death by his parents, John Henry and Mary Rutledge Harrah; two sisters, Hazel Moore and Mary Connely.

Mr. Harrah was an army veteran serving in Fort Benning from 1961 – 1965.  His home was in Potterville but he had been a resident of Taylor County Health and Rehab for the past five years.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Harrah of Potterville; his children, Russell Eugene Harrah, Jr. (Miranda) of Peachtree City, Vickie Johnson of GA and Angie Harrah of VA; stepson, John Upchurch of McMinnville, TN ; stepdaughter, Kimberly Springer of Los Fresnos. TX;  two granddaughters; four grandsons; brother, John Daniel Harrah (Jennifer) of Plano, TX; brother-in-law, Daran Cassady of Howard, GA;  sisters-in-law, Faye Cain (Don) of Williamson, GA and Jean Adams (Butch) of Mobile, AL; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at Taylor Mill Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Taylor Mill Baptist Church.
