Funeral services for Wilmar Carpenter, 88, of Rupert will be held on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at 11:00 am at Faith Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Sand Bethel Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Carpenter passed away on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Medical Center of Central GA in Macon.

She was a member of Faith Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie Albritton and Thessie Wisham; husband, Sanford Carpenter; son, James Millard (Buddy) Carpenter; daughter and son-in-law, Lavern and Kevin Taylor; and daughter, Ernestine Carpenter; brothers, Jack Albritton, AV Albritton, JC Albritton, Clinton Albritton, Wilcher Albritton; sisters, Vera Carpenter, Mary Joiner, Dorothy Speir and Nettie B. Bowen.

Survivors include two daughters, Bernette Purvis (Dan) of Perry and Sheila Wilson (Bryan) of Rupert; daughter –in-law, Shirley Graham of Rupert; one sister, Ioan Pitts of Thomaston; five grandchildren, Danny Purvis (Leslie) of Bonaire, Ben Purvis (Wendy) of Perry, Keith Carpenter (Jennifer) of Butler, Shannon Swearingen (Bruce) of Reynolds and Eric Barrow (Alicia) of Butler; fifteen great grandchildren; also numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 6 to 8pm at the funeral home.
