Clinton Culverhouse

Clinton Culverhouse, age 96, was promoted to heaven on Sunday, September 16, 2018 following a long battle with cancer. Visitation will be held from 2:00 until 3:00 pm Friday, September 21, 2018 at Horeb Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at the church immediately following visitation. Burial will follow in the Howard United Methodist Church Cemetery in Howard.  

In his early years, Mr. Culverhouse was saved and baptized at Wesley United Methodist Church. In December 1942, he enlisted in the United States Army Air Corps and served in a number of statewide assignments until January 1946. In September 1950, Clinton married Eloise Bryant, and they attended Horeb Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rome and Eva Clyde Culverhouse, and eight siblings.

He is survived by his wife, Eloise Culverhouse of Butler; daughter, Cathy Hamilton and son-in-law, Jerry Hamilton of Macon; grandson, Casey Hamilton; two brothers, Jack Culverhouse (Dorothy) of Butler and Archie Culverhouse of Thomaston; and several nephews and nieces.
