Donna Lou (Bailey) Williams

Donna Lou Bailey Williams 90, of Mauk, GA. went home to be with the Lord on Dec. 29, 2019.  A celebration of life and Memorial Service will be held on Jan. 4th, 2020 at Trinity Free will Baptist Church in Mauk at 1:00 pm with Brother Terry Tribble officiating.  Interment will be in the Yuma Memorial Cemetery in Yuma, MI at a later date. Visitation will be at noon at the church.

 She was born on July 13, 1929 in Yuma, MI to Walter and Bertha Bailey.  The youngest of 12 children, she was loved and spoiled by all her siblings.  Donna attended Wexford Mi County schools, graduating from Mesick High School in 1947. She then left Yuma for the big city of Saginaw, MI, where she worked as a receptionist in a small welding shop.  Not satisfied with that she went to work at the Home Dairy Cafeteria, where in the winter of 1952 she met a dashing U.S. Air Force Sgt.  On Jan. 12. 1953, she married the one and only love of her life, Robert "Bob" Williams.  Donna and Bob had five children and she became a wonderful stay at home mom, occasionally taking a temporary job to help with the finances of raising 5 kids. They moved from MI to Odessa, FL in 1966 where they lived until retiring to Mauk, GA in 1996.

 She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years Robert Williams, Sr. in 2002 & a great granddaughter Bailey Eve Eubanks in 2003.  Also passing before her was a daughter in law Windy Williams, five sisters, six brothers, sixteen brother in laws and seventeen sister in laws, you see, Bob was also the youngest of twelve children.

 She is survived by her five children, Marsha (Big Larry) Starling of Mauk, GA,  Iris (John) Buchanan of Peaster, TX, Colleen (Brent) Davidson of Hugo, Ok, Robert (Anita) Williams, Jr of Clearwater, Fl, & Larry Williams of Butler, GA; nine grandchildren, Larry (Eve) Starling of Mauk, GA, Amber Williams of Butler, GA, Ryan (Chasity) Parks of Howard, GA, Justin Williams of Sarasota, Fl, Matthew Williams stationed in Coos Bay, OR, Amanda (Scott) Hamilton of Keller, TX, Michael (Brittnee) Davidson of Paris, TX, Sarah (Gerber) Pivaral of Vinton, LA, and Ashley Davisdon of Grant, OK;  seven great grandchildren, Larry Starling Jr, Zack Starling, Alec Hobbs & Owen Hobbs of Mauk, GA, Courtney Johnson of Statesboro, GA, Emerson Chacltana of Vinton, LA, and Brix Hadley of Keller, TX.  And a plethora of step grandchildren, great step grandchildren, great great step grandchildren, nieces and nephews too numerous to list.

In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Kindred Hospice 319 Margie Drive, Warner Robins, GA 31088 or Taylor County Health and Rehab, 165 S, Broad St. Butler, GA, 31006. Donna received fantastic love and care from both.
