Funeral services for Fred J. “Papa” Mock, Jr., 81, of Butler, will be held on Friday, November 8, 2019 at 11:30 am at Lebanon Baptist Church, 1303 Americus Highway, Butler, GA 31006. Burial will be private. Mr. Mock passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at his residence. He was a member of Lebanon Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and retired from the automotive industry after 36 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred J. Mock, Sr. and Leona Hunnicutt Mock; two brothers, Tony Mock and Jerry Mock; and one sister, Delores Eaton.
He is survived by his wife, Faye Mock of Butler; two sons, F.J. “Rick” Mock, III of Butler and Jonathon Michael Mock of Gainesville; two daughters, Jennifer Renee Bittner (Jeff) of Cleveland, OH and Michelle Wilson (J.R.) of Butler; one brother, Douglas Andy Mock of Roswell; one sister, Rebecca Cromer of South Carolina; eleven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren also survive.
Visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 6 to 8 pm at the funeral home.
