Graveside services for Deborah Kay Peterman, 68, of Butler will be held Friday, October 29, 2021 at 2:00 pm at The Church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Deborah was born August 25, 1953 and passed away on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at Atrium Health Care in Macon, GA, after an extended illness. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jerome “Jay” Chappius and Betty Imogene Chappius; two sisters, Tonya Denise Chappius and Sandra May Higgins and her husband Robert “Bodge” Higgins; two brothers, Don Chappius and Ricky Chappius; and a nephew, Rusty Higgins.
She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Jerry Wayne Peterman of Butler; two sons, Thomas Edward “Eddie” Austin of Butler and Joshua Wayne Peterman of Butler; one daughter, Tonya Nettles of Savannah; two sisters, June Redman of Guyton, GA and Vonda Scott of Ste. Genevieve, MO; sister-in-law, Marsha McCants of Butler; father-in-law, Jerry Peterman of Butler; two grandsons, William Hunter Nettles and Logan Riley Nettles of Macon; one great-granddaughter, Skylar Nettles;, best friends, Johnny and Faye Boggs of Roberta; several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
