Doris Miracle

Doris Miracle was born March 20, 1930, in Cordele, GA to AJ and Annie Mae Moncrief, and passed away on October 26, 2021, at her residence after a battle with cancer.  Raised in Crawford County, she attended Crawford County Schools.  She married at the age of 14 and had 7 children by the age of 23.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Cleston, 2 sons (twins) Joel and Jerry Collins, and a granddaughter, Tammy.

Left to honor her memory are sons, Jimmy Collins, Wayne Collins, and Randy Collins (Sherrie), and daughter, Pat (Mike) Arnold and Susan (Jackie) Pines and beloved daughter-in-law, Shirley Collins.  She had 20 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 35 great great grandchildren.

Doris retired from Scientific Atlanta and she and her husband moved to Crawford County to live next door to her twin sister.  After her husband and twin died, she moved in with her daughter, Pat.  There she enjoyed raking the yards with her son-in-law, Mike.  She also relished in her little flower garden she made and decorated it with all sorts of outdoor lights and figures.  This was her passion.

Doris was a very loving person who never met a stranger.  Everyone who knew her loved her big smiles and the snazzy way she dressed.  She did not believe in dressing like an old woman, even at 91 years old.  If you knew her, you absolutely loved her.  She will be sorely missed not only by her family but the many friends whose lives she touched.
