Lester Duncan

Graveside services for Lester Duncan, 60, of Butler will be held on Friday, September 25, 2020 at 11:00 am at Mt. Olive Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.  Lester passed away on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at his residence.  He was of the Baptist faith.  Lester was an avid fisherman and hunter and was a loving husband and awesome grandfather.

 He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis Allison Duncan and Eva Glanice Youngblood Duncan; two sons, Barry Duncan and Robert Randall; a brother, Morgan Duncan; two sisters, Patricia Duncan and Martha Ann Busbee.

 Survivors include his wife, Shirley Duncan of Butler; one son, Charles Duncan of Butler; one daughter, Karrie Hortman (Chris) of Reynolds; four brothers, John David Duncan (Gaynell) of Reynolds, Randal Duncan of Reynolds, Fred Duncan (Jean) of Vienna and Joey Duncan (Mae) of Tunnel Hill; one sister, Gladys Felker of Oglethorpe; two grandchildren, JROTC Cadet Zackary Berry of Butler and Steven Duncan of Butler.

 Visitation will be held from 9:00 until 10:30 am on Friday at the funeral home.
