Melba Lane Anderson

Funeral services for Melba Lane Anderson, 85, of Reynolds will be held on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Taylor Mill Baptist Church.  Entombment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery at 2:45 PM. Mrs. Anderson passed away on Sunday, January 10, 2021, at her residence.

 She was a member of Taylor Mill Baptist Church where she served as song leader for many years and enjoyed working with Vacation Bible School each summer.  She loved cooking for family and friends and was especially known for her caramel cake and homemade biscuits.

 She was preceded in death by her parents, Gordon and Edna Lane, and her husband, James “Jake” Anderson.

 Survivors include three daughters, Debbie McDonald (Johnny) of Murfreesboro, TN, Linda Gunn of Reynolds and JoLynn Moncrief (Doug) of Roberta; one sister, Patty McMillan of Macon; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews also survive.

 The family will receive friends at Mrs. Anderson’s residence beginning on Monday, January 11, 2021.
