Memorial services for Linda Peterman, 72, of Ft. Valley, will be held on Thursday at 11:00 am at the Chapel of McLeighton Funeral Service in Reynolds. She passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2016 at her residence.

Linda donated her body to science to help researchers that are uncovering tomorrow’s medical breakthroughs.

She was previously employed in the textile business. Mrs. Peterman retired as city clerk for the city of Ft. Valley in 2004 after 10 years of service. She had also worked for Peach County Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her son, Ricky Peterman and sister-in-law, Brenda Deason.

Survivors include her husband, Richard Kenneth Peterman of Ft. Valley; son, Keith Peterman (Annice) of Greenville, SC; mother, Lenna Louise Buie of California; sister, Cindy Habibipour (Saied) of California; in laws, Betty McFarland (Bob) of New Castle, PA, Millard Peterman (Maryann) of Ft Valley and Clark Peterman (Marie) of Butler; one niece and one nephew also survive.

The family would like to thank the staff of Homestead Hospice and her caregiver Gail Rodgers for the care they gave Linda.
