Funeral services for Sara Underwood Pennington, 83, of Butler will be held on Saturday at 1:00 pm at Bethel Congregational Methodist Church.  Burial will follow in Butler Memorial Cemetery.  Ms. Sara passed on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at Church Home Rehab.  She was a member of First Baptist Church and the Butler Garden Club.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Udolpho Sikes Underwood and Martha Jane Brown Underwood and a son, Johnny Pennington.

Survivors include three daughters, Dawn Smith (Allen) of Centerville; Jodi Furr (Jerry) of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL and Paige Brooks (Allen) of Reynolds; two sisters, Nellie Taunton (H.D.) of Butler and Amie Jean DiLeonardo (Jack) of Phenix City, AL; eleven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday from 5 to 7 pm at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to H3 Therapeutic Riding Center, 115 Danny Morrell Road, Reynolds, GA  31076.
